WEST MICHIGAN — As you might expect with the wet weather lately and the cold mornings, the ground work has certainly been laid for some awesome foliage colors across the state.

The attached snapshot was taken courtesy of www.foliagenetwork.com. It shows all of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula currently under high color, with most of northern/central Lower under peak color. I can tell you from a recent drive along I-96 from Detroit to Grand Rapids the color is fantastic!

All of the Upper Peninsula is under peak color, with some past peak already being reported in parts of the western U.P. Leaf drop around the state is generally moderate. Make sure to post your colorful photos on our FOX 17 Facebook page, or simply email them directly to us at weather@fox17online.com.
