GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A school bus hit a tree in northeast Grand Rapids, injuring the driver.
It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of West Kentview Drive NE.
There were two special needs students on-board the bus at the time of the crash. They were not injured, and were properly restrained, however they were taken to the hospital just to be checked out.
We are told that the driver suffered minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital.
The driver told police that the bus slid on some wet leaves and hit the tree.
