FOX 17 announced that, starting on Monday, December 1, 2014, they’ll begin airing a new show called FOX 17 Morning Mix. This new local lifestyle show will air Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 10:00AM, immediately following FOX 17 Morning News.
“We’ve undergone quite a bit of news expansion recently, but we’ve been wanting to launch a local lifestyle show for some time” said FOX 17 General Manager, Patty Kolb. “The time is right and we’re fortunate to have a great host for the show in Leigh Ann Towne.”
FOX 17 Morning Mix will be anchored by Leigh Ann Towne, who’s been on the FOX 17 News staff since December of 2011. In addition to Leigh Anne viewers can expect to see features from other FOX 17 News personalities.
FOX 17 Morning Mix will have something for everyone, but it will be specifically geared toward local women. The content of the show will range from features on cooking tips, segments about home and car maintenance, events and happenings in West Michigan, what’s happening in the world of social media and more.
“If there is anything close to a dream job, FOX 17 Morning Mix just might be it for me!” said Leigh Ann Towne. “It gives me the ability to combine all of the things I love, from do-it-yourself projects, thrifting, fitness and food, all the way to shedding light on all of the other positive services and stories that West Michigan has to offer. Not to mention, growing up in this area and having the ability to share a smile and good laugh with long-time friends and family, along with making new friends, is priceless. FOX 17 viewers are the best and I look forward to this journey with them.”
