MOUNT DORA, Fla. — It seems even convicted criminals can get some of the luckiest breaks.  A convicted sex offender in Florida has won a $3 million Lottery jackpot.

Timothy Poole served 13 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to sex offenses involving a child.  Over the weekend, he bought a scratch-off lottery ticket at a 7-eleven and it turned out to be a winner.  He opted for a lump-sum payout of $2.2 million.

Now an employee for his mother’s taxi company, he has always insisted his innocence.  Click here for an in-depth report from WKMG in Florida.
