Jenison pizza shop employee robbed at gunpoint

JENISON, Mich. — Police in Ottawa County are looking for a man who robbed a pizza shop early Saturday morning.

It happened  just after 12:45 a.m. at Hungry Howie’s on Baldwin in Jension.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said a female employee was robbed as she closed the store.

 The woman was approached by the suspect at the back door of the business, then forced to go back inside and remove money from the safe.

Police said before the suspect got away, he forced her inside his vehicle, but she was able to escape without injury.

The suspect is described as a hispanic male, 5’5″, and wearing all black clothing with a black face mask.

Police canines were brought in to search for the suspect, but were unsuccessful.
