KENT COUNTY, Mich. -- Ken Bird has been charged with fraud by the Kent County Prosecutor's Office.

The roofer is accused of ripping off a couple in East Grand Rapids. He allegedly took a downpayment worth more than $6,000, deposited the money into his bank account, and never did the work.

The charges came in November, and Bird bonded out of jail.

Two months before that, the FOX 17 Problem Solvers interviewed another alleged victim. After that broadcast, several more alleged victims reached out.

Even though he's facing a fraud charge, some of his new workers are saying he hasn't changed his ways.  Workers told FOX 17 they haven't been paid for work done in mid-December.

Ken Bird spoke with FOX 17 as well.
