KALAMAZOO, Mich. — An early morning police chase took place after multiple shots were fired in the area of Ada St. and Burrell Ave. at approximately 2:57 Sunday morning.

Officers found two bullet holes on the driver’s side of the SUV. The driver of that vehicle told officers he was being shot at. Officers searched the path that the suspect vehicle traveled and they located a loaded .40 Cal Glock handgun on N. The second occupant, who is a 23 year old Kalamazoo resident, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Kalamazoo Township Police as well a probation violation charge.

The third occupant of the vehicle was released.  Officers returned to the area of the shooting and found several spent .40 caliber bullet casings.

A witness on scene reported seeing suspects in a dark colored Mercury Grand Marquise fire shots at the people in the Tahoe. The suspects in the Grand Marquise are still at large. It is unknown what events lead up to the shooting.
