Consumers Credit Union robbed in South Haven Friday afternoon

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. — A Consumers Credit Union was robbed Friday afternoon by a suspect similar to a robbery four days ago in Kalamazoo County.
 
The South Haven Police Department responded to the robbery at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the credit union at 1579 Phoenix St. A man got away with an undisclosed amount of money and left the scene westbound in an older model white Chevrolet Impala.
 
The suspect was described as a stocky white male wearing a dark colored hat, sunglasses, gloves, a dark colored Carhartt type coat and tan pants.
 
No one was injured during the incident.
 
Police said the robbery was similar to one Monday in Kalamazoo County. They said both the suspect and vehicle are similar.
