IONIA COUNTY, Mich. — The Ionia County Sheriff’s Department responded to a property damage accident on Saturday, finding out it was caused by a citizen cutting down a tree near a roadway. The person was cutting down a tree along Gold Lake near Belding when he managed to accomplish the bulk of his task- sending a tree falling.. directly onto moving traffic.
Nobody was injured in the accident, but the tree did manage to land directly on top of a passing vehicle.
No word yet on whether or not the tree chopper will be charged with anything. Check back with Fox 17 as more information emerges.
