GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids Police Department has announced that it has taken initial steps to begin a “Police Explorer Program” to offer young people a chance to experience their profession.

Those that are interested must fill out an application that is available online- applicants are asked to provide basic background information as well as write a short essay describing why they want to be a part of the exploratory program. To qualify, you must also be over 14 (and have completed eighth grad) and not yet 21.
