GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Three-year-old Cambri Jewell of Hudsonville wants to meet Disney princesses. Sunday, there was a big send-off at Gerald R. Ford International Airport as the Make-a-Wish Foundation sent Cambri and her family off to a cruise on the Disney Cruise line, where she's sure to run into a princess or two.

Cambri was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia around Christmas time 2013, said her dad, Ben Jewell.

From then to now, "it's been quite a journey the last year," said Ben.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation in West Michigan began in July working with the family on granting Cambri's wish: a trip on what she calls 'Minnie's boat.'

Decked out as Minnie Mouse herself, Cambri's departure was not a quiet one. There was quite a crowd at the airport for her sendoff. "Not only did we see Cambri excited to go on her wish on a Disney cruise, but we saw an entire community come out in the middle of a blizzard to support this family," said Nicole Robertson with Make-a-Wish.

"We're so excited for her, just to see her see the boat, see Minnie Mouse and all the princesses," said Ben. "I just can't wait to see her face."

We can imagine.
