GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- Connor is a wonderful and intelligent 11-year-old young boy who has been in the foster system for three years now. He is now just waiting for a loving family to open their home and hearts to him.

“They would just have to love and accept them for who he is,” Resident advocate Brittney Cook said. “He has some qualities like autism and things that need to be taken care of but he’s an awesome kid and he’s great with other kids too.”

Connor’s smile lights up the room.

“He’s very intelligent, loves to read and math,” Cook said.

Connor loves being active, whether it’s playing sports or going on adventures outside and incredibly enough, has already completed several 5K races.

“He’s run a couple 5K’s and he’s actually working on running another one soon,” Cook said.

He had some fun with the FOX 17 camera and loves learning about new technology on his iPad.

“He keeps you entertained, he’s always talking, even though it might not always make sense but he’s always making you laugh,” Cook said.

Connor loves cooking and creating things and is looking for a family who will make time for his special needs.

“We run around and he likes to make his blanket into a cape and just run around like he’s superman,” Cook said.

Connor would love a pet cat with the loving family he knows is out there waiting for him.
