KALAMAZOO, Mich.- The Kalamazoo K-Wings invited three incredible foster youth to become team members for a day. It was a great experience for Micah, 16, Aaron, 17, and Keayr, 17, who are all searching for loving parents.

The K-Wings gave game-worn jerseys to the boys, officially making them members of the team.

“It's whatever God has planned for me, so I really can't choose that,” Keayr said.

It's been a hard road for each of the boys who have all been in the foster system since age 11.

“I need a father figure,” Micah said. “If I ever get a father figure I want him to teach me the right stuff so when I grow up I can succeed in life.”

The K-Wings pulled out all the stops for the teens and after a tour of the locker room where they meet the players who signed their new jersey’s, they were given game pucks and a spot to sit right on the bench.
It's the kind of thing each of the boys wish they could share with loving parents.

“Be there when I need support and just always have my back no matter what,” Keayr said.

Aaron wants parents who stand by his side when he needs it. You may remember him from a feature this summer. Aaron was adopted from Romania by an American couple, who then put him into the foster system. He had a family all lined up to welcome him into their home until a medical emergency made them stop the adoption process.

“I had a family that was going to adopt me and they bailed on me,” Aaron said.

Now with just three months left until he turns 18 and an intense search for any family in Romania, he's grown desperate.

“It's time for me to have a family,” Aaron said. “Hoping to be loved again.”

Micah says he wants to be around positive people who will help him grow saying he loves to draw and write songs.

Keayr hopes for support in his sporting endeavors.

“Someone who comes to all my sporting events and cheers me on no matter what,” he said.

The three boys had the experience of a lifetime thanks to the K-Wings with hopes that perfect family will soon find them.
“I've been hoping for it a lot lately, just hoping that they come along and I can leave and I can be happy,” Keayr said.
