Uncertainty Surrounds St. Patty’s Parade

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.– It’s a day to celebrate the Irish, even if you’re not. And there are a number of St. Patrick’s Day events happening across West Michigan.

Beginning in Conklin, in Ottawa County, the tradition continues with the 28th Annual Wearin’ of the Green Parade. It’s been known as the shortest St. Patrick’s Day parade. It takes place at 10:55 am on North Main Street and ends at Fenian’s Irish Pub where there will be live Irish music through the day.

In Grand Rapids, Mulligans, O’Toole’s and Shots open early at 7 am.

Flanagan’s gets things started at 8 am with breakfast, green beer and bagpipers.

Flat Lander’s Barstillery in Grand Rapids is celebrating its anniversary with its famous fish taco plate, drink specials and Irish music starting at 5 pm.

For a more kid-friendly atmosphere, Fazoli’s on Alpine Avenue in Walker is hosting kids night with crafts, cookie decorating, prizes and kids meal specials.
