KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Kalamazoo County Assistant Prosecutor Paige Timmer has been fired after police say she was caught drunk driving.
Prosecutor Jeff Gettings announced Timmer’s firing during a Wednesday press conference.
Police believe she was drunk driving when she crashed March 14 on Stadium Drive near West Lovell Street in Kalamazoo. Both her and the other driver were seriously injured in the crash.
Timmer was initially suspended during the investigation, but Gettings announced Wednesday that she had been fired.
Gettings said he handed the case over to the state Attorney General’s Office and he won’t have any input on the case.
