GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Jennifer Dannah-Frazier said she traded in a car at More Value Auto Sales two months ago. She still owed about $4,800 on the trade-in and said the dealer agreed to pay off the entire loan to the financing company.

"Come to find out a month later, he didn't pay the car off," Frazier said. The lender is now calling her for payments and charging her late fees. She said the dealer's name is "John," and she can't get in touch with him.

FOX 17 learned the business "surrendered its license" to the Michigan Department of State:

"More Value Auto Sales on Alpine Avenue surrendered its license on April 2 after department staff made an inspection on March 17. Department staff was concerned the dealership had been misusing temporary vehicle registrations and was having financial difficulty." - Michigan Department of State, Communications Office
