GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Fire crews spent the night Sunday night getting a massive fire under control at Oliver Machinery company.  Flames were seen pouring out of the roof of the structure from the FOX 17  River House Cam starting at around 10:30 p.m.

The old machinery building is located near the intersection of Clancy Avenue and Cedar Street in Grand Rapids.  That's on the city's northeast side near Belknap Park.

Fire crews were quick to set up a 'collapse zone' near the building because crews are preparing for the building to be a complete loss. Our crews reported seeing part of that building collapse at about 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night.

Water could also be seen flooding nearby streets as crews attempted to use every resource possible to put out the fire.

Large flames were seen billowing out of the building as FOX 17 brought you live pictures during our 10 p.m. newscast.

Officials with the Grand Rapids Fire Department says no one has occupied the large manufacturing building in at least a year and a half.  Crews are expected to remain on scene throughout the night.

First responders got to the scene with flames already pouring out of the roof of the building.  12 of the departments 15 units were called to the scene during the response to the fire.

Still too early to determine a cause of the fire.
