Police in Portage investigate meth lab

PORTAGE, Mich. —  Police continued to investigate a meth lab found in Portage on Monday.

The discovery was made around 9:00 a.m. Police said they were tipped off and soon discovered three “one pot” style meth labs located in a shed in the 2500 block of Regay Street.

Officials with the Portage Department of Public Safety said a man and a woman were found inside the shed. A surveillance system, a 22 caliber handgun and other methamphetamine components were also found.

Methamphetamine and felony firearms charges were pending, police added.
