Lynyrd Skynyrd to headline Muskegon Bike Time lineup

MUSKEGON, Mich.–Muskegon Bike Time announced its musical lineup for this summer’s event, and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Lynyrd Skynyrd will headline the festival’s main stage on July 18.

The iconic Southern rock band are beloved for classic rock anthems like “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Free Bird,” and “Saturday Night Special.” Lynyrd Skynyrd have a catalog of over 60 albums, and fuse blues with southern rock and a hard rock swagger and Southern image.

Other highlight acts include Night Ranger, performing July 16, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds on the main stage July 17.

Muskegon Bike Time runs July 16-19 at a new location at 4800 South Harvey Street, in Muskegon.

This year, the biker festival will add a variety of motorcycle races and stunt shows. On Saturday, July 18, Bike Time hosts round 8 of the SJO Productions Village Motorsports Michigan State Fair Super Cross Series.

A motocross track that incorporates man made jumps and turns as well as the natural terrain will be built for the races. Over 300 “dirt bikes” are expected to battle for prize money and coveted series points in 28 different classes.

Also throughout the event, several stunt teams will be performing, including Scott Murray, one of only four riders in the world to successfully land a double back flip on a motorcycle in the X games. He performs on Friday and Saturday.

Also on Friday and Saturday, King Tony’s Busted Knuckles Stunt Tour–an all Harley Davidson Stunt Show will do two shows per day. The show features a group of Harley-riding daredevils who perform wheelies, acrobatics, burnous, jumps and pyrotechnics.

Tickets to the four day event will go on sale on Friday, May 15, 2015 at www.muskegonbiketime.com. A Weekend Pass Special is available for only $30, while a limited quantity last. Normal ticket prices will be $40 for a weekend pass, $20 daily pass for Thursday and Friday, and $25 for Saturday. Sunday will be free. Children 11 years old and under are free. Parking is free.
