MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Complete closures of US-131 over the Muskegon River in Mecosta County continue to toggle between the northbound bridge and the southbound bridge. This week, the northbound bridge will be closed.
US-131 is closed north of exit 131 in Stanwood, with the detour taking traffic east to Northland Drive, then north into Big Rapids and east on Perry Avenue to re-enter US-131 at mile 139.
The bridge is schedule to be reopened by 9 a.m. Thursday, June 4.
Several more closures are expected into July.
Next week, the southbound bridge will be closed beginning on Monday, June 8.
