Woman sentenced for fatal wrong-way crash on I-96

Heather LukeGRAND HAVEN, Mich. — A Nunica woman was sentenced Monday to at least 7 years in prison after causing a fatal wrong-way crash on I-96.

According to Ottawa County 20th Circuit Court officials, Heather Ann Luke, 33, could spend as much as 15 years behind bars for the July 10, 2014 crash.

Officials say Luke used an emergency turnaround to turn west onto the eastbound lanes of I-96 near the 22 mile marker outside Marne.    Her SUV collided head-on with a minivan.  The driver of the van was killed in the crash.
