GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Police and the Kent County Rental Property Owners Association met today for the Landlord Crime Prevention Certification Program.

The program gives landlords more resources on what to look for and how to be proactive when leasing out their property.  Group organizers say it is important to avoid the #1 mistake, which is not investigating applicants well enough.

The RPOA plans to host this workshop about four times a year.  The cost is between $25 and $35.  The next workshop will take place this fall.
