BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — One person died in a crash in the 700 block of W. Michigan Avenue early Thursday. The vehicle hit a light pole and flipped over.
Emergency crews were called to the scene around 1:30 a.m. where they found one person in the vehicle who died at the scene despite efforts by medical personnel.
The Battle Creek Police Department believes speed was a factor in the crash and continues to investigate.
The identity of the driver was not released.
