SOUTH HAVEN, Mich.- A 46-year-old man is recovering this morning after being struck by a boat operated by a family member when he was water-skiing.

The accident occurred while a South Haven family was enjoying the waters of Saddle Lake in Columbia Township early Saturday evening.

A Van Buren County sergeant says the boat approached too close to the man floating in the water and he was hit by its motor.

The sheriff’s office is withholding the man’s name at this time, although they say he was treated at a local hospital with injuries to his foot.

    Stupid people……..
I hate to say it but the stupidity of people is epic.
Think we should now require a mandatory license for boaters just like drivers education.
