911 service down in Mason County

MASON COUNTY, Mich. — 911 emergency communication lines are down in Mason County.

Frontier Communication is advising they have a fiber optic line that has been cut and officials say  they are working on the problem.

The Mason County Sheriff’s Office says If you have an emergency and dial 911 your call will be routed to Muskegon County and they are forwarding the information to Mason County.

If you have a non emergency  complaint to  call the business number at (231)-869-5858., Mason County residents that have telephone service with Frontier are also without service, police added.
