GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Korean Consulate General honored 69 Korean War veterans at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Tuesday afternoon.

The ceremony coincides with the 62nd anniversary of the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement, which took place on July 27, 1953.

Each of the 69 residents received a certificate of appreciation for his war-time service and 22 of the home’s veterans received the Korean Ambassador for Peace medal for their service in Korea.
