GRAND RAPIDS, Mich – A vacant home in Grand Rapids was heavily damaged in what investigators are calling a suspicious fire on Thursday.

The home is in the 600 block of Worden Street SE, just south of Franklin Street near Union Street.

Crews at the scene say no one was inside the 3 story home when they arrived on scene, but said there’s enough evidence to consider the cause of the fire ‘suspicious’.

An arson investigator was called to the home to check things out.

No other homes were damaged in the afternoon fire.
