Large collection of gun and knives recovered after theft

ANTWERP TOWNSHIP, Mich. – The Van Buren County Sheriff is investigating a 51-year-old woman from the Lawton area and theft of several guns, knives and ammunition.

The theft happened sometime before September 10 from a home in the 64000 block of CR 665.  On Saturday, September 12, the stolen items were recovered by deputies from a home in the 32000 block of 72nd Avenue.  Both homes are in Antwerp Township.

The stolen property included seven guns, over 1,000 rounds of ammunition and a large knife collection.

The suspect has not yet been arrested or charged, so her name has not yet been released.
