GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michael Eugene Brunnmeier, 22 of Grand Haven, was arraigned on charges of breaking and entering on Thursday.

He was taken into custody after allegedly stealing alcohol and cigarettes from a store along the lakeshore early Wednesday morning.

Police say the burglary happened at the Southtown Market in the 15,000 block of 168th Avenue. According  to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the store after a witness saw the suspect busting out a window and breaking in. The store was closed at the time of the burglary.

Grand Haven Public Safety also investigated and caught up with the suspect in the 1700 block of Robbins Road. Police say the man sustained injuries that matched blood evidence at the scene and they also found stolen items from the store, which included alcohol and cigarettes.

Brunnmeier’s bond was set at $10,000.
