2nd person arrested in Kalamazoo Twp. shooting

KALAMAZOO TWP., Mich. – A second person has been arrested and charged in a shooting that injured a Kalamazoo man in September.

The shooting happened in 500 block of Gayle Street on Sunday September 13th at about 2:00am.  A 29-year-old man was found with several gunshot wounds.  He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and police found methamphetamine components at the scene. Darrien Hampton, 26, of Kalamazoo, was arrested on September 14th and was charged with Armed Robbery.

Tuesday, September 29, Kyle Krause, 22, of Kalamazoo was arrested on a probation violation, but on Wednesday, he was charged with Assault with Intent to Murder, Armed Robbery, and firearms charges in relation to the September 13 shooting.  He is being held on $100,000 bond.
