Thunderstorms possible on Thursday
West Michigan – A quick moving storm system will bring showers and a few thunderstorms on Thursday. The Storm Predication Center has all of West Michigan in a general outlook for thunderstorms. A marginal risk of severe thunderstorms will stay southwest of the state.
Thursday will start dry with skies remaining partly cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms will be located from the Upper Peninsula to Iowa.
Showers and a few thunderstorms will develop during the early afternoon as low pressure tracks into Lake Michigan. No severe weather is expected.
Showers will diminish Thursday night as the cold front slides through the state. Rainfall amounts will be under .25 inch in most areas.
