Man facing charges in fatal Holland crash

HOLLAND, Mich. — Ronald Mancha, 21, will be charged in connection with the fatal Holland area crash that killed 18-year-old Marissa Kronemeyer.

According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Mancha is facing charges of driving with a suspended license causing death and driving with a suspended license causing serious injury.

The crash happened at about 4:52 a.m. June 28 on Douglas Avenue near VanDyke Street.

Officials say Mancha crossed the center line and struck Kronemeyer’s vehicle head on.   He was hospitalized with a critical chest injury and two other passengers in his car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

At the time of the crash Ottawa County deputies said that Mancha was driving to an area residence and had been been up all night.  Kronemeyer was on her way to work.
