Two men charged in Grand Rapids armed robberies

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.  — Two men have been charged in connection with two armed robberies that happened Monday night.

Eric Deshawn Flowers, 27, was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of armed robbery and one count of felony firearms.  He was charged as a fourth-time habitual offender and faces between 25 years and life in prison if convicted.

Antonio Joespeh Cepeda-Mulholland, 24,was charged with two counts of armed robbery as a third-time habitual offender.  He could also face life in prison if convicted.

The two men are accused in armed robberies at Ron’s Quick Stop, 1115 Bridge St. NW and the Subway restaurant at 2232 Plainfield Ave. NE.    The robberies happened within a half an hour of at Monday night.

Police say they arrested the two suspects after locating a stolen four-door sedan that matched the description of the one used in the Quick Stop robbery.  They also found evidence linking the suspects to both robberies, according to a release.

Grand Rapids Police also say the two men may be linked to other recent armed robberies.  They are both scheduled to be back in court Nov. 5.
