FOX 17 Blitz Preview Week 10

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — It is the first round of the playoffs and the intensity takes a step up on Friday night.

The game of the week is in division 1 where Grandville (6-3) will play at Rockford (6-3) in a rematch from September 18th when the Rams beat the Bulldogs, 21-0, earning Rockford head coach Ralph Munger his 300th career win.    Grandville running back Nolan Meekhof did not play in that game due to injury but has since returned to lead the Bulldogs to four straight wins to close the regular season.  The Rams and Bulldogs shared the OK Red title, it was the 7th straight for Rockford and the first since 2006 for Grandville.

A pair of unbeaten’s meet in the Blitz Battle in division 7 as SAC Valley champion Saugatuck (9-0) plays at CSAA Silver champion Hesperia (9-0).  Indians quarterback Blake Dunn leads an explosive offense that has scored at least 42 points in every game this season.  The Panthers counter with a wing-t offense that is averaging 49 points per game and has scored 50 plus points five times this season.
