Several thefts from cars reported overnight in Ottawa Co.

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. – The Ottawa County Sheriff is investigating reports of several vehicle break-ins from around the county overnight.

Nine reports were made during the overnight hours Wednesday night and Thursday morning, mainly in the northeastern portion of the county. Reports came from Chester, Wright and Polkton Townships, as well as the city of Coopersville.

In eight of the nine reports, the vehicles were left unlocked.  In a few of the incidents, the suspect or suspects went into a garage or pole barn on the property.

In most of the thefts, wallets, purses and cash were taken.
