BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – A 30-year-old man was arrested Monday night by Ferris State University police for having a mobile meth lab in his car.

Mark Peterson was parked near the back of Lot 23, according to FSU Public Safety Director Bruce Borkovich, when an officer on patrol noticed him Monday evening. The officer stopped Peterson as he pulled into university apartment housing on Robin Court and found the one-pot meth lab with meth ingredients. Peterson also had a car seat in the back of the car.

Peterson is not a student at Ferris, but police say he was staying with his girlfriend, who is a student at the apartments. Two other one-pot labs were discovered by officers in the woods near where Peterson was stopped.

Peterson was charged with one count of manufacturing meth, two counts of operating a meth lab, one count of possessing meth, and one count of maintaining a lab in the presence of a minor.  No children were around at the time of the arrest.
