WYOMING, Mich. - Add the City of Wyoming to the West Michigan craft brew scene.

The Kitzingen Brewery opened at 1760 44th Street SW Tuesday. This is the first brewery in Wyoming.

Ronnie Bailey, the owner, says that the name of the brewery comes from the town of Kitzingen, Germany, where he was stationed in the army from 1985 to 1987.  He decided to start brewing after making a few return trips to Germany after his service.  Bailey says he has some military friends also assisting with the brewing.

The brewery will also welcome in guest brewers at times.  They will not be serving food initially, but hope to in three to six months.
