HARPER WOODS, Mich. (AP) – One man has been killed and another arrested following a shooting outside a suburban Detroit shopping mall.

Harper Woods Deputy Police Chief Ted Stager told reporters that the victim was shot multiple times just before 6 p.m. Saturday as he walked out of a store at Eastland Center, just northeast of Detroit.

He later died at a hospital.

Stager said a man “associated with the shooting” was in custody. It wasn’t immediately clear if that man is the gunman.

Stager also said the shooting was not random.

Two people were shot near the mall in 2014. In 2010, a man was fatally shot in his car in the mall’s parking lot. Two other men were wounded during another shooting at the mall in 2010.

Detroit , nuff said, Gun laws in Michigan are the same for everyone in the state. yet it seems to be Detroit Kalamazoo, Benton harbor and grand rapids where 99″% of the shooting take place.
That would suggest it isn’t Michigan tougher than most states gun regulation that are at fault. it would seen to point in another direction….
Perhaps gun theft should carry a stiffer penalty and felon in possession should not be afforded parole.
