KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Thomas Wilder scored a game-high 28 points, but it wasn't enough for Western Michigan as the Broncos fell in overtime to Kent State 87-84 in WMU's Mid-American Conference opener.

Western Michigan (6-8, 0-1) heads to Akron on Friday.
