GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Calvin College student, Martin Cervantes, knows what it's like to live without fresh water. Born in Mexico and having lived there till he the age of 13, Cervantes said he was not able to drink out of the faucet for years. Now, he's organized an effort to get fresh drinking water to the people of Flint.

He collected 86 cases of water, 38 gallon jugs and five water filters and will deliver them to the Flint community Saturday, January 23rd. Cervantes will work with the American Red Cross to distribute water and supplies.

This is not a one-time effort as Cervantes plans to collect even more water to deliver to that area.
