Duo arrested after police find pot grow operation, meth in home

ONTWA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Two people were arrested after deputies discovered an illegal marijuana grow operation and meth-making items inside their home, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators made the discovery on Wednesday at a home in the 24000 block of N. Shore Drive after deputies suspected people inside were using illegal drugs and had illegal firearms.

Along with drugs, deputies said they also found a semi-automatic pistol.

A 37-year-old man is now facing charges for manufacturing marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, felony firearm and felon in possession of a firearm. A 35-year-old woman is charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.

Their names are being with held pending arraignment.
