A major storm is moving into the upper Midwest and while some areas will get a heavy winter snowstorm, we'll mostly see rain.

The system began moving in Tuesday afternoon with a rain/snow mix in some areas.  North of U.S. 10 could get a glaze of ice and maybe 1 to 4 inches of snow.  Further north could see 4 to 8 inches of snow.  We'll likely see rain throughout the night and into Wednesday morning.

Winter Storm Warnings are in effect from the Upper Peninsula through Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado.  Blizzard Warnings are posted in some of those states as well.

Further south, Tornado Watches are posted for southern Illinois, SE Missouri, western Kentucky and Tennessee and on into Arkansas and Mississippi.
