BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A Battle Creek man has been charged with Assault with Intent to Murder after allegedly beating his pregnant ex-girlfriend with a baseball bat.
Tyrice Cannon was charged after the assault which happened Friday afternoon at Arbors of Battle Creek apartments.
The Calhoun County Prosecutor says that Cannon allegedly broke the bat from hitting the victim in the back of the head. He then allegedly hit and stabbed her with the remaining parts of the bat and also a pen.
The victim has been treated and released from the hospital. Bond was set for Cannon at $50,000.
