MT. PLEASANT, Mich. — The reward for information leading to an arrest in the death of Central Michigan University freshman Ryan Tsatsos has increased to $5,000, Crime Stoppers announced Tuesday.

Tsatsos, 17, was hit by a vehicle and killed Nov. 1, 2015 while walking north on Crawford Road between Billabrail Street and Concourse Street.  He was walking back to his dorm room with friends at the time of the crash.

The driver of the car fled the scene after hitting Tsatsos.  Police said in November they were looking for a dark blue car with damage to the front passenger’s side in connection with the incident.

“Please, please our family needs closure.  If you did this, come forward.  If you know who did this, tell somebody.  If you think you know anything, tell somebody,” Ryan’s father Paul Tsatsos said during a Nov. 20, 2015 press conference at CMU.

The previous reward for information was $2,500.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
