Update: Suspect sought in ‘attempted’ CSC at school in custody

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police say that a man who they say was involved in a “potential attempted criminal sexual conduct” incident at an elementary school Tuesday morning has turned himself in.

Police were called to River City Scholars Charter Academy, 944 Evergreen St. SE, after the man allegedly went into the school and tried to contact a student, according to a release.  Police say the student did not know the man.

At about 2:20pm Tuesday, police issued a release that the man had turned himself in to police.  The incident is still being investigated.
