GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.--  A young boy living with an autoimmune disease gets to leave the hospital behind for a trip to Disney World with his family.

Seven year-old Carter Rosenberg has Eosinophilic Esophagitis. As a result, he can only have a handful of foods and takes the rest through a feeding tube at night.

Make-a-Wish Michigan and Allegiant Air is sending his entire family to Florida. In the past, the only trips Carter takes is to the children's hospital in Cincinnati for biopsies.

Carter's mother says it's not only been physically draining for her son, but it's an emotional strain as well.

However, she says Carter is excited for the trip and is most looking forward to taking part in Jedi training at Disney's Hollywood Studio.
