KALAMAZOO, Mich--For those of you who missed winter, you're in luck, because it's back.

Most of West Michigan saw heavy snowfall Wednesday, making it hard for many to commute. snow treesAlthough the roads were filled with slush, the trees were definitely a beautiful sight. But for those who had to go out in it, it turned ugly quick.

Wednesday evening, FOX 17 caught up with Kalamazoo resident, Ward McDonough, who had just gotten home from work and was getting ready to shovel.

"The windows are wet like it's raining. It's wet rain, it's heavy and it's hard to push," said McDonough.

Snow

McDonough is no stranger to snow, he's lived in Michigan all of his life.

Adding, that when it snows, you just "gotta take it easy."

"I don't think I'd do the whole driveway," he said.

But McDonough isn't complaining.

"We’ve had some free days - got some good weather - it was nice to break up with the 50 degree temperature," McDonough said. "Remembering last winter, when we had 120 days of freezing snow all the time, it never went away."

In all, he's eager to wave goodbye to this snow.
