GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-  This week on Tech Tuesday, Casey Cochran from Genius Phone Repair takes a look at some technology aimed at helping seniors and caregivers.  Devices like theTreata Smartcare watchare being developed through an indiegogo online crowdfunding campaign.   It offers caregivers a way to track everything from a person's heart rate and location, or motion detection for slip and falls,  to reminders about eating  or taking medication.   You can even send the person wearing it text alerts directly to their watch.   Another option is the Pillboxie app for smartphones and tablets, which can also remind you about taking your meds.  It includes more than 100 combinations of med shapes and colors.   Finally, there's the EyeReader app, for when you need a light or your reading glasses but have neither.  This app uses the camera and flash on your phone to give people a closer look at whatever they need to see.  Its perfect for dark restaurants and menus with small type.  It's a "must have" for people 45 and older.
