Presidential candidates heading to Michigan this week

MICHIGAN — After Super Tuesday presidential primary elections, it is Michigan’s turn next week.

And here come the candidates!

Ohio Governor and GOP hopeful John Kasich has announced the most Michigan events. He’ll be in our state most of the week starting Wednesday. On Wednesday, he’ll hold town hall meetings in Ann Arbor and Grand Blanc and then a rally in Warren.  On Thursday, he’ll be in Detroit for meetings and interviews.  Friday, March 4, Kasich will be at the Herman Miller Greenhouse in Holland for a rally at 5:00pm.  Saturday, he’ll be holding town halls in Traverse City and Marquette.

Kasich has already made one trip through Michigan,including a stop at Grand Valley State University.

Republican front-runner Donald Trump has announced a rally on Friday, March 4 in Cadillac at 1:00pm.  The event will be at the Wexford Civic Center. Earlier in the day, Trump will be in Warren, Michigan. Trump last visited Grand Rapids in December.

On the Democratic side, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is holding a rally Wednesday, March 2 at Michigan State University’s Breslin Center.  He has made several appearances in Michigan.

Thursday, March 3, the GOP candidates will be having a debate in Detroit, which will be hosted by the FOX News Channel.  On Sunday, March 6, Sanders and Hillary Clinton will debate on the Democratic side in Flint.
