The strongest, bravest man I know ran into the arms of Jesus. Kevin Scott Sikkema, you are gone from my arms, but never from my heart. Your love, laughter and big smiles will forever live on through our children. Praise Jesus that your chains are gone and you’ve been set free.

The SikkemaStrong Facebook page is filled with condolences, prayers, and other comments from those who have been following the family’s struggles.

Ever since Sikkema’s original diagnosis, the community has rallied behind the entire family with fund-raising efforts and benefits.
